The Australian Foundry Institute (Queensland Division) Inc, is dedicated to providing support to the Queensland foundry industry and its members.
The objectives of the Institute are as follows:
- To provide a means of advancing knowledge of foundry practice, technology and management,
- To facilitate the exchange of information by the presentation and discussion of technical papers,
- To encourage, assist and initiate where appropriate, industry-related research and development,
- To organize, advise, liaise with others on means, systems, syllabi for the education and training of personnel at all levels of the industry,
- To identify, collect and disseminate technical information on industry-related subjects,
- To promote the best interests of the industry and Institute Members,
- To properly manage the assets and funds of the Institute,
- Generally to do all things necessary or expedient for the proper and effective carrying out of any of the objectives above.
